Can anyone break this down ie. tell me how many staff a company like soundcloud probably needs? I wouldn't really know

I would guess about 10 devs (+3 for mobile devices) and tbh really you only need 2

3 page designers / artists + 1 for mobile

around 10 server guys maybe

10 support staff to run the forums

and 10 additional staff including receptionists and management.

lol

anyway they don't seem too fazed judging by their new ads i just saw

I'd say more like 3 devs, considering how slow they are with bugfixes and stuff.
Seriously though, soundcloud has been pronounced dead so often, I kinda stopped worrying. Eventually they'll just sell out. If the founders don't do it, then the bankruptcy trustee will :o

Really a shame. I did listen to very cool creations on Soundcloud, it being matref's awesome hard metal or JoshhMarshh's Mario Kart music remixes.

Oh yeah, I should do that indeed. Thanks for the heads-up ; and I haven't been around all that much, simply because I haven't been doing much in the way of programming outside of school. Also my PC died, leaving me PC-less with no way to do any sort of programming or music recording.
