Title: Juju's movies
Post by: Yuki on December 23, 2015, 04:08:13 AM
I make movies sometimes!

This one is a documentary about someone making cosplays.

This one is some secret agent movie I finished yesterday, pretty funny.

Lol I saw the cosplay girl one a while ago but didn't see the other yet due to lack of time. At first I was confused at what Fluffy Unicorn had to do with the vid. Anyway I like the idea so far. My suggestion if you improve it further would be to add laser noises when you shoot lasers and perhaps speed up the RPG style battles. Otherwise I didn't get the end O.O

Ah, yeah, I was under a deadline and didn't had time to add everything, and my Mac computer at home broke meanwhile. Same for the cosplay one, I could easily had made it into a 10-minute movie.

If the Mac is still under warranty, then you really need to get it repaired and then get rid of it and use the money to buy another computer, because that iMac is a lemon and it will probably always break like this. >.<

Anyway thanks for the explanation :P I'm thinking the lenght is fine, since most school movies we did in the past were rarely over 3 minutes anyway.

Yeah, they usually ask for 3 minutes max.

New movie! Well, an intro to some Synthesia tutorial of an Undertale song by WeimTime, animated by Minty Root and written by myself.

Another one! It's some sort of Ponies the Anthology, but in French, and I contributed 4 of the sketches there. If you do speak French, I think you can guess which ones they are :P

I didn't understand some of the earlier ones but I lol'ed at some and especially the second half of the video. XD Warning to other French people: Some clips have NSFW content. :P

Heh, glad you liked it. There was a lot of French references (because most of them was done by the French), but there's a few Québec references. Like, mostly mine.
Here's the answer key (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLgbibENAjtJBdt-9k1GnO8DztD-GkZooO) featuring Dans une Galaxie près de chez vous, Laurent Paquin and Les Denis Drolet.
I'm late but the "yâble" one was my favorite in the big video actually. I kinda lol'ed when someone brought up the New Jersey Devils. :P

Sadly I don't get all references, though, because I don't really like watching TV much, so I missed out on most mainstream stars, inside jokes and stuff.

Heh, glad you like it. That one is based on Dans une Galaxie près de chez vous (aired 1998-2002 on Canal Famille/Vrak TV, had 2 movies), a rather comedic parody of Star Trek, it was pretty much one of my favourite TV series. If you have to watch one TV show, DJ, I highly recommend you this one.

Yeah, I kinda figured a while ago about that show. At one point I need to check it out lol. It depends if it's very long, though. I could always watch the movie. (I am ok with The Mysterious Cities of Gold because each season are between 26 and 39 episodes that are only 20 minutes each)

Yeah it's not that long, 4 seasons of 13 or 26 episodes and 2 full-length movies, with a third one hopefully in planning. (It's been a few years they said that, though.)

Ah ok. I thought the show aired all year long with like 52 episodes of an hour per season.

Heh, I wish. But that would be kinda crazy.

It probably depends if the authors decides to add some unnecessary content to fill in gaps in the story, but some probably use common sense by not dragging on TV shows for way too long either. Cliffhangers are fine if you want fans to stay hooked to a TV show, but if it's like Dragon Ball Z where it takes 6 episodes for 1 fight to begin, then people can get bored and stop watching.

On a side note, do you have to do more small videos for school this semester?

Post by: Yuki on March 29, 2016, 05:31:07 AM
Yeah, it's not one of those shows with a storyline, but one with self-contained episodes so you can watch them in the order you want and networks can easily schedule reruns in the order they want.

And yeah, on-topic, more are planned.

Oh ok, I thought it was a series like Stargate and stuff, but in parody form.

As someone who never played Undertale or any other game that is mainly centered around internet memes (although I'm not one to talk considering I made Opossum Massage Simulator), I don't really get it D:. Is that some hack of Undertale or was it a movie made with various graphics from the game rather than the game itself?
Title: Re: Juju's movies
Post by: Yuki on April 23, 2016, 02:58:19 AM
Yeah, I made it using After Effects with graphics from the game.

Ah ok. It definitively is well done, considering I had an hard time figuring out if it was from the real game or not. :P

I like it. I wonder if it would be better if you used one of the song verses, though? It would fit more for CW due to the Japanese and eurobeat roots.

Eh, dunno. Also have another animation, but in glorious 3D now.

I like it :D. My only criticism is about the cartridge thickness and color, though. Normally NES carts are a bit darker and not as thick.

Also it normally takes one or two tries before the game starts correctly, sometimes blowing in the cartridge being required, but that's another story :P
Title: Re: Juju's movies

I did (intentionally) missed a few details, but the cartridge thickness isn't one of those. As I know of.

Looks nice Juju, (I can only see the first frame though the vid is restricted because of school xD)
