If the phone has a custom recovery then it should be as simple as booting in recovery mode
and installing a new custom rom.
If not, i think Samsung has released a tool that allows you to clear your phone and re-install it.

Nope. I know it was mistreated by a 4 year old, tho. Meaning, it was bashed around a lot and then stopped charging(we had to charge it by USB, but it needed an AC adapter that we didn't have) and it had a crack along the back near the ports.
