Did you know that 14 years before Nintendo made Super Mario Run, there was already a Mario Run game for the TI-83, TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus?

Sure, it's kinda different and involves auto-scrolling levels with free movement rather than Mario walking non-stop by himself, but I have to wonder if Nintendo isn't getting some ideas from calculator fan games, after all... :P

Note: That game wasn't super great as there was no coin, but it was one of the first Mario games I played for calcs :P

Lol yeah, I remember playing that one too :D
I didn't really like it (I liked the other Mario by Sam Heald more) but indeed, it would be funny if Nintendo said that was their inspiration, though I'd be surprised if they did :P

As if they'd ever admit anything like that... :/
do you have a link to that mario runner? :)

Review of the mobile version of Super Mario Run, now that's it out:

Graphics: 10/10
Fun: 10/10
Replay value: 20/10
Not leaving out Android users in the cold: -40/10
Total score: 0/40

It also costs $10. I don't mind, although it's a little steep considering you can get the real deal for less on the Wii U virtual console. My main gripe is the always-online requirements to play (which sadly seems to be the future of most consoles and commercial games) and the lack of an Android version despite being the second most used mobile platform.
