I've had a √ idea lately. (Ok that was a bad joke) I am *attempting* to make something like Animation vs Animator 4 (look it ↑), but starring my sentient calculator. Being myself, it will be "Program vs Programmer" and I will animate the screen using code. Go figure.
It will/could have a scene where I call on Cemetech/CodeWalrus members via SAX/WalriiIRC, but I will animate those, if given permission by the respective owners.
I'm not going to leak too much, but it is completely planned out. I even went to office max a purchased a storyboard. Just to feel like I know what I am doing, even though I don't. When this project is complete, I will release my source code, but beware. It is 100% quick and dirty, with little to no optimizations. (Case in point: ~30 min in, and I have eleven nested for loops)
I will append updates to this post.
Is this for CE?
Yes, but more specifically, it will be of my CE.
I will be filming my interactions with the calculator, and the calculator will "respond" to my interactions. It's going to be a one time thing, and the screen will have to completely redraw each frame, so cheaty movie magic!
Why not use very simple backgrounds and do it in real-time? You could do that
It actually has elements in common with a mech game I was thinking about making, with mechs drawn in black silhouette with
@MateoConLechuga 's polygon routine.
Want to see what happens with it anyway ;)
Well, TI-Basic.
I'm "too lazy to ez80"
It has to be stop motion on some parts, as it must be able to do things one cannot do in TI-Basic, so I run things like color inverting asm codes to supplement, and for like half of the animation it will be 'pressing buttons'. Almost like a 'watch me do' feature, but "malicious".
Oh ok
I was assuming it would be C
Yah. That would have been too much of an intelligent decision for my brain to handle.
Sounds fun.

Sure thing.
Awesome! Thanks!
sounds nice. Make sure the animation attacks u swinging the axe logo.
Will it use the graph or the home screen?
@xMarminq_ ermm, (this is not your fault, I'm crappy at describing things)
Most of the graphics will be drawn on the graphscreen. I will take screenshots (the graphics on screen will pause every frame), then create a video from that. I will then add other scenes as necessary, namely the ones where I am "unable" to force reset the calc (I gave out too much already :P), and when I go onto "WalriiIrc" (locally saved so I can manipulate "users" to post what I want, for acting purposes. I will ask the users I am thinking of when I get to that scene. I plan on simply rendering text and just overlaying it in the final video.)
I can type out the entire script (holy crud it's like 10 notebook pages, but I am "dedicated") if it is needed.
tl;dr:
Read it!
You could maybe do something like a visual novel
/me takes a deep breath.
It starts out with a simple, average screensaver.
Intermittent static interrupts it, getting faster and higher in frequency over time. (After this, i cannot turn it off, because magic)
After a few seconds, a face is drawn on screen, and blinks a few times before saying "Hello."
[conversation between me and 'it'. Dont ask.]
It roasts me. (I need a good programming-related roast, plz help!!)
Then, it asks me if I want ICE for that burn (ya'll know where this is going next.)
It then 'speed types' an ICE copy of itself.
[More conversation]
I ask it to please stop.
It doesn't.
It performs a factory reset, but somehow it survives. (#iPhoenix_is_da_movie_magic_boss)
I frantically ask other programmers wtf to do. (Fake WIRC and SAX chats)
(Keep in mind, I 'cannot' reset the calc/turn it off. Notice that (in my calcs owned) I have a 'sentient' CE.)
[More conversations]
I 'speed type' some kind of random hex crud (on computer, transfer to calc. It resists but I win) that would crash my calc if I actually ran it, probably, but in the film, deletes the internal vars of the AI on the calc.
[more static]
(Secret ending that I'm keeping secret)

I have a better idea:
>Create a gif of this on your PC.
>Use
@c4ooo 's gif -> CE converter
>Profit
/me hides :P
Where is the converter?
/me is intrigued, but not for this.
There's a demo somewhere. But literally all it does is convert a gif to a CE program that displays the gift :P
