Yea I actually don't really know what happend to it, but I have it at home and still need to open it and try to fix it. Just a little project :)
But I worke with the 84+ a lot and it worked really fine, but I think I can get more out of the Nspire CX CAS.
I'm going to try and fix the 84+ fast so I can start my programming again ^^

What might be worth looking at is replacing the fuse, i had to do that once on my 89 (accidentally blew the fuse by putting like 1 amp / 6V in wrong polarity on it........)
u/p2 January 31, 2017, 12:07:51 PM
I've started working on the 83+ in 2010 and joined programmign forums in 2011 ^^
I'm studying technical informatics, but actually this year I'm working in a company, working on web design and augmented reality ^^

Hmmm so you're already a few years in this.
Aaah okey a friend of mine does exactly the same (except for the augmented reality).
Do you have a gap year or are you doing an internship?
u/p2 January 31, 2017, 12:16:41 PM
It's a 3 year studying on technical informatics, and the 2nd year is ment to be spent in an actual company to learn it not only in theory ^^

Hey everyone! I started messing with calcs back in 2013 or 14 i think. I was nspireguy on omnimaga. I just decided to get back into the community now that  I am a bit older :D

I learned a lot of TI-Basic but never really got into anything else.

Its great to be here!

Heya @TheChosen1 and welcome back :). Great to see you here :)

Hey there @TheChosen1 and welcome to CodeWalrus
This is a bit weird for me as a good friend of mine once called himself "TheChosenOne" on many forums...

I'm sure you can learn a lot of other stuff here if you're just willing to learn ;)
What calculators do you have so far? :)

Great to have u here,
have a walrus <3

If I remember, there was another TI community user called The Chosen One recently on Omni, TI-BD, TI Planet or Cemetech, but maybe it was NspireGuy too :P

Hello everyone... I stumbled across this site via DJ's signature.

Some of y'all already know me; but for those who don't here is a short bio...

I've been a part of the TI community since 1997 (that makes me an old man). I purchased my first TI calc in 1996; it was the original TI-92. Followed by a TI-89 in 1998 -- which I bought from Dimension TI.

I learned 68K assembly and C/C++ right about that time... before that I only knew Commodore 64 BASIC, Apple BASIC, and DOS GW-BASIC.

Here are some of the projects that I have completed:

Ultima V - POTY 2008  (port from PC & C64)

Astrosmash (port from Intellivision)

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (port from Intellivision)

International Karate (port from C64)

I am currently working on Jumpman (port from C64)

Those old screenshots. Lovely stuff (I haven't used my TI-89T in ages, I should really play some of those again) :3

Also hi Ranman and welcome to the forums. Glad to see you're still around in the TI community and doing fine. I was wondering what happened after 2013 when you disappeared (although I remember you also left around 2010 for a few years). Jumpman looks very promising. I hope it gets finished. :)

And yeah I created Omnimaga, but then things happened and it ultimately led to the site splitting in two D:

By the way, didn't you also do some Casio calculator BASIC? I forgot which model, but IIRC you said it was in the early 90's. I got a few old models such as the fx-7000G and 7700GE, both of which uses the 1st-gen Casio Basic (with no getkey input). Also, since you do C, did you know that the TI-84 Plus CE supports C, via MateoConLechuga's C SDK/Libraries? I dunno how different CE C is to 68K, although the calculator almost has as much RAM as the TI-89.

I hope you enjoy your stay :3=

Thanks DJ.   :)

2010 to 2012 was not a good period in my real life.
2013 to recently... lost motivation after HDD crash in conjunction with the loss of my backups (which I recently found)

Yes... I did some Casio BASIC programming on the old FX7700G and the FX6300G... I still own the FX6300G. It's still the coolest graphing calc ever made. A whopping 25x40 pixel screen and 400 bytes of memory -- still enough memory and screen to make an Artillery game complete with mountains, wind, and multi level opponents.

I own the following calcs currently:
- TI-89 HW1
- TI-92+
- Casio FX6300G
- Casio FX9860G Slim
- Tandy PC-7

I'm seriously considering getting a TI-84CE
