Well it's kind of my fault for bringing this up for no reasons whatsoever.
However, kotu needs to be punished anyway, because he was a very bad boy ! :D
To atone his sins, he must suck on an Israeli man.

Btw, i also realized that i could run Gal Gun VR with this pc on minimal settings.
It requires a Geforce 970 as a minimum. However, the Geforce 780 is roughly the same in power. (only -8% less powerful)
However, i am more interested in boys plus i have no monez.

@gameblabla where do I get an AM4 cooler? I can only find coolers where the AM4 bracket is sold separately. D:

Yeah, that's what i noticed too. You either have to spend a ton of $$$ on a Noctua AM4 cooler or buy the bracket.
I just use the cooler that comes with the CPU.
Thankfully, the Wraith Spire seems much better than the AMD FX default cooler.

Well, i finally got my Gigabyte Geforce GTX 780 Windstorm 3X and i'm pretty happy with how it performs with Nouveau.
(Of course Nvidia proprietary drivers will perform better...)
Unigine Valley with Ultra settings at 1366x768 gave me a score of 2718.
Yandere Simulator with Max settings runs at 25 FPS average at max settings instead of the 1 FPS i get with my GM45 graphics chipset lol.
Even with low settings though, it only averages at 30 FPS. I noticed that the game becomes slower despite having little to no graphical changes.
Dust : An Elusian Tale runs at 60 FPS (not a big surprise).

Kotu's tribute game still stutters, i guess he doesn't know how to use timers !
But anyway, i'll give Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders, Billy Hatcher... a try later.

More of a driver issue here, Nouveau struggles with Shaders and high polygons count.
But it's possible the proprietary driver does not fare much better yeah...
Seriously devs, tweak your damn shaders so they don't eat all of my memor(ies).

I tried Unigine Valley and here are the results :

AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
Gigabyte Geforce 780 Windstorm 3X

Min FPS : 14.8 (was a stutter)
Max FPS : 116.6
Average FPS : 65.0
Points : 2718

Will try crysis when i can.

It may be good at  that but my game displays at most 8 polygons per frame

Actually Gigabyte Geforce 780 Windstorm 3X is not even the product's codename.
It's GV-N780OC-3GD 2.0 in this case :DDD

The processor performs very well in Linux (i'm using a custom Devuan distribution with JWM+lxpanel) and the GPU is also surpringly
silent despite the fact it can quickly become hot at high frequencies.
Yes, even the CPU is quite silent.

Apparently prices of DDR ram are going up. What brand ram did you buy? There's this one brand named 'crucial' that's kinda cheap. They have a 8gb stick for 65$, but it also looks like something from the 2000s xD

I wanted to get the "HyperX Savage Noir 4 Go DDR4 2400 MHz CL12", which was priced at 34€.
In comparison, all the other RAMs were worse in speed & latency and more costly. (at 40€)
Sadly, it was out of stock so i settled with a "G.Skill RipJaws 4 Series 4 Go DDR4 2400 MHz CL15" for 40,5€.

I only took one stick of RAM. (more RAM would be nice... but they are expensive so i'll wait)
