Oooh thank you very much. For some reason though your website doesn't load on my phone. I'll have to go to the computer to test it. I'll also test it in chrome using the archon (art for chrome) player.

edit. It doesn't work on any of my devices.
Thank you so much for trying. So whats failing? Is it installing or not? If it is installed, does it crash? What's your devices android version?
Would be great to know it. :)

Demo android version (seen in the picture below) can be downloaded here.

Heres a screenshot:

So now I implemented level loading from json, made more textures (my ones are temporarily), and fixed bugs, restrucured the game, made the game capable of running on every device keeping its aspect ratio.

Have a look at this screenshot:

@ DarkestEx Oooh that looks nice. I like the graphics, although some might seem confusing if someone gets the game with no instructions. Do you plan to have larger maps that fills the screen or playable area for the Android version? Also is the game dependent on a specific resolution like Supersonic Ball or will graphics be scaled up/down on larger and smaller screens?

Yes, I will scale it, keeping the aspect ratio and filling the remaining space with background or something else.
I don't know, what to do with the levels. I implemented level loading of any size, I even included the first level in my brand new version (no random  no more),
but it's size is 10x6. What do you think? Should I make it compatible with existing levels or should I go another way?
I will use json to do level loading, so I guess I could let you decide the size of every level, by using every level's json config.

@DJ Omnimaga @CKH4

Yes, you're completly right!
Thats the main reason, why I don't want to share the code to untrusty people. And maybe later, if the game (just in the very rare case) is kindof an success, I don't want clones or thieft using my source with no credit. Also in case I implement any ad or payment stuff, I wouldn't be able to upload those modules.
But as I said, I will allow trusty people (like you, and the people I listed earlier) to access my code repo on dropbox.com.

Hope you don't hate me for that  :)

EDIT: @CKH4 you will get the source and apk too, as you said, that you want to download it and maybe do some beta testing

Do you plan to make it open-source once finished or if developement slows down? I never do that during HP Prime dev due to risks of code theft by one person in particular, but once I have a demo out I usually keep my source available so that other people can learn. I usually release the program on multiple sites so people know I made it.
Well, as it will be released on Google Play, I don't really want to release the source. Maybe sometime later. But if I (for any reason) cancel the project, I'll release the source publicly on github.

One person as in you know who it is, or just in general?
Well, everyone who works with me or contributes something to me will be included to see the source code.
E.g. AliceIsDead for the artwork (that will be made), Cumred_Snektron in case he wants to help, soelchf, as he sponsors me the Google Play fee and he had the idea of the game and DJ Omnimaga in case he wants to see it, or contributes some of his nice music. :)

Also check this out (Textures are made by me for testing, touch works -moves the cursor-, random map is generated, no actual gameplay implemented yet):

Also maye it's a good idea to use github?
Hmm. I thought about this. Actually for such projects I prefer Dropbox, as I don't want to share our game's source code to the world. A private Dropbox share between trusted persons would be more secure.

That looks nice actually :D. Also AliceIsDead is the guy from Cemetech, right?
Thanks! Yes AliceIisDead is Form cemetech. I'm not sure if AlliceIsDead is a guy. Her da Staates that she is a girl.

I will give you the source if you still want to help me, Cumred_Snektron.
I'd love to help, but i'm going on a vacation for a week, i don't know if i have internet of not (probably)
but i certainly won't have time to do some active programming (+ i don't have a laptop, so any otg programming will have to be
done on my tablet).
No Problem! Join whenever you want and work in it whenever you like.

Would be great, DJ Omnimaga!
I'd be extremely happy about some background music too!

I don't know how you like it, but this is how I would make the textures: (Tile block)
AliceIsDead is helping me with some nice Pixel Art, so I'm looking forward getting some real nice textures.

Samsung is crap. I bought myself a Motorola Moto G2 for my TwoStep App development.

Well Android is great, but I think Java is not a good choice for a whole operating system (except Linux kernel and dalvik-vm).
It's slow and inefficent.
But iOS Objective C is even worse. Its fast, but hard to program (I like C, C# VB.NET and PHP best; I can live with java).

I'm afraid, that we won't be able to write to SD-Cards anymore starting with 4.4.4 but I'm surprised, that SD card writing still works on 4.4.4 on my Motorola.

Just some random things that I have in mind about smartphones.

Pressing "No" when being asked for Garbage Collect, compiling Axe code.

Will there be sound?
Well, I'm bad in making sound, but if anybody makes some sound for me I will credit him / her and definitvle include it.
I could really need some free background music!

No, red is just for development.
The target Android SDK is 4.4 Lollipop right now, but will be changed to 2.3 when in release.
#1365
So. I'm working hard on the app, and it shows some progress.
