Odd, I tested the regex and it works fine but this might be because you have admin rights. Do we have a dummy unprivileged account for testing ?
Hey, I may be a dummy but I have privileges too!

Strange, I am not even full admin. But again I can edit some account profile fields like calcs, github field, etc. I have a test account somewhere but I am not gonna be home until 10:30 PM like yesterday

We also need to install @Sorunome password plugin once ready, but we need to ensure he's planning to port it to SMF 2.1 so we don't remain locked up in SMF 2.0.* once 2.0 reaches EOL.
I do plan on porting it to SMF 2.1 but right now my main focus is 2.0.
It will probably end in a way so that it will take some time (a month or two) after 2.1 was released or something, so you wouldn't be able to switch right away.
And, also, I can't and don't want to guarantee that, I cannot know what life will through at me, also uni-wise, but that are my current plans :)

EDIT: If you want to help me making it more secure: http://ourl.ca/22212

SMF always sorts by timestamps so it won't even care that the IDs are out-of-order
Nah it stores by ID because when I once tried to merge two databases, dates were not taken into account when sorting from newest to oldest topic. Unless this changed in SMF 2.0?

Yeah maybe it's an SMF 2 thing

Oh really ? Well that's nice, but weird since threads are linked lists iirc.
All the posts are stored in {$dbprefix}messages and from there they link to the topic id they are in.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention that one of our member was thankful enough to send us many of the lost posts via e-mail earlier. He had notifications enabled on almost every topic. As a result, he had the posts via e-mail. I would like to thank CKH4 a lot for this.

However, due to being in a different format, it would take a long while to manually convert them and re-introducing them into the DB would require bumping all post IDs from August 9th to present, which isn't necessarily the most ideal scenario (considering the backlash Omni got for doing this, although in their case it's the entire board that got their IDs bumped, not just 100-300 posts). As a result, it is unclear yet if the posts will be re-added or simply made available as archives in a sub-domain.
Just have an admin post all those as himself and then change the DB to adjust the user IDs and the timestamps, after that re-count all the posts forum-wide, that's how I did it with the yaronet posts

:( The images are broken for me. Do I not have the right omnimaga permissions? (The image links are omnimaga)\

EDIT: Since alexgt can see them, I guess it may be my computer that is running windows xp <.<
I have the feeling that Omnimaga or @Sorunome (who runs their image uploader) disabled hotlinking on other sites or CW to save bandwidth, because I had the same problem with many Ourl.ca images in the last week or so. It could just be Ourl.ca server spazzing out for a few seconds, though.

To view the images, quote the post, grab the URLs there then paste them in your address bar.
Such a thing is not happening, img.ourl.ca is open for all. He might be experiencing cloudflare issues, though? Or other caching issues?

I like the initiative. Just please make sure that this time, it's on a stable host, though. Reuben Quest wiki had plenty of downtimes and lag a few months ago, same for Omni (including their 40 hours of downtime), and Juju's 57o9/Julosoft servers used to be even worse to the point where they vanished with the original Axe wiki on them.

Also good move to require account approval. The original Axe Wiki hosted by juju was overran by bots.
The reason for reubenquest wiki being offline back then was me not noticing i broke the nginx config for that, I usually pay attention to the stuff I host, though.
As Juju said, it is currently sitting on a dedicated server with overkill hardware, so don't expect any downtime. I still need to set up automated backups again, though. Imma do that now.

Also, I thought pimath had the right to approve members, i just looked through the queue, though.
