There's too many languages to choose from for me to make a universal Windows 10 App (like Visual Basic, XAML, C#, ect.). What's the best language for me to make CalcPlay?

Every language has it's own advantages and disadvantages. Depending what project I am working on I might use a different language. It's just all about using the right tool for the job you have to do.

Yep. It all depends of what you want to do. I don't have a copy of Visual Studio handy, but it's pretty much Visual Basic, C#, web development and Metro apps stuff. One will be more suited than the other on a specific use case, although IMO C# is preferable to Visual Basic and the rest are specific use cases.

C# is more or less as simple as Java for getting on programming, this is a good choice for starting. have fun on VS!
