I'm making a Homescreen RPG on the side, when I'm bored of programming Solius. I don't really have a name for it yet, but I assure you, it's coming! To play, run the tech demo prgmANRPG. It's compatible with both monochrome and color calcs (and doesn't require any shells), but I will make it fit to the CSE's screen eventually. For now, it looks a little squished. Enjoy! Download is attached.

In the screenshot, you can see a few glitches. I've already fixed them. Happy April Fool's Day, suckas!

April Fool's Day everyone! And for those who say it's not a prank, download and run the file. I'm running an actual project over here, though.

Aw I thought it was real lol. I was gonna suggest some improvements and stuff. But I guess it's best to work on 1 RPG at a time. :P

Yeah. I threw this together in like 5 minutes hoping someone would download it and try to run it on their calc. It doesn't do anything nasty, really.

Actually, making an RPG in under 1 day or 2 would be an interesting mini-challenge. The games would definitively be very low quality or simple, but if it was when people aren't busy, then I bet they would be able to pull something off. :P

Is even that possible? Wow. Maybe something like an Arena RPG would be doable without many problems in such time frame but an adventure one?...

Dream of Omnimaga

It depends. If you don't have any idea in mind, then such short time frame would be impossible. And yes it definitively has to be a dungeon crawler or arena RPG.

Yeah, as if a roguelike were doable in 2 days! Probably in one week as there are the 7DRL challenge though.

Oh I really meant dungeons as in non-random. Eg it could even be a game with pre-rendered pictures or where the map is stored in a matrix and stuff.

Yeah sure, a pre-made dungeon could be easier to set.
