Messages - Dream of Omnimaga

Oh I should probably try to do that. I didn't realize that moving them elsewhere would reduce lag. I thought it was more like the VAT system on Z80 calcs.

That would rule. :D Are you making all your graphics from scratch or do you plan to re-use some from this game?

Custom site navigation has been implemented. Some links were moved under Forum or elsewhere and links to the site downloads section, as well as the external store, were added.

Unfortunately, unlike in SMF 1.1, in order to edit SMF 2.0 navigation, you must edit the SMF source files (subs.php). This could prevent site upgrades, although we will only see when SMF 2.0.10 is out. If that's the case, then either the navigation will have to be moved to index.template.php like in SMF 1.1 or it will need to be removed then implemented again and again during each upgrade.

However, this basically means that my todo list for urgent stuff has been processed entirely. The rest, written in bold purple, is under juju/Streetwalrus/pimath's hand. I still need to update a lot of stuff, but all of it is either non-urgent or cannot be done immediately.

By the way, thanks a lot to everyone who helped so far and others who voiced their opinion about possible site updates. Hopefully we can present a fully functional site on January 1st 2015. :)

On a side note: For all the non-staff members who were let into this website before opening, ever since this website project started the plan was that I would be solely Forum maintenance staff. In other words, I will admin board categories and stuff, but once this site opens to public, I won't be full moderator nor will I have full server access. I'll be more like some sort of CEO I guess, a position I am more comfortable (and stable) with. Had I been able to return to Omni administration back in 2012 (I ran Omni from Sept 2001 to July 2011, although my server privileges were reduced starting in Feb 2011 and mod privileges by May 2011), the lack of mod privileges would have been my condition, but unfortunately split usergroups happened too late, preventing such non-moderator admin position.

Ah right, I didn't know that, because nobody seems to use those sorting options. >.<
Also Simplemachines team likes Geocities, Myspace and Skyblog it seems

As some of you here know, besides calculator programming I also did electronic music. I'd say my electronic music is more on the extreme side, although there have been more and more exceptions in recent years as I explore new horizons. Almost everything made from 2002 to 2017 and since Summer 2022 began was made entirely using a Playstation 1 emulator with Music 2000/MTV Music Generator software. I mostly produce UK hardcore, happy hardcore, eurodance (90's style), power metal-inspired music, video game soundtrack and to a lesser extent ambient stuff. Since 2022 I've been producing plenty of italo-disco and synth-pop too.

This definitively looks very different from Kerm's version. I like how it came out so far. Also I see you use full screen mode. It seems fast nonetheless :)

When people refer to run-down or seedy neighboorhoods over here they sometimes refer to them as "piquerie", though.

As for peggle, I don't have a thread about it since I've been focusing on putting pretty things on screen rather than gameplay (also lots of math code). You can have a picture though :)

Wow that looks quite different from the 83+ version for sure. I guess I am too used to its monochrome graphics :P

Somewhat, although they will also remain at their old locations for the most part. Mostly the contact info will change for some files with Omni/EPS still remaining as copyrights depending of the game.

Supersonic Ball and the HP Prime Tunnel might see their copyrights replaced, though, because they're fairly recent and more prone to updates.

That could be a bad move for the guys who only have 83... By the way, what's TIMID?
Not really. It's possible to detect the calc model at game start and simply disable the option to turn music on on 6 MHz models. It won't prevent the game fron running on the 83+

Yeah I feel pretty lonely on that point >.<

Also when this site opened only the staff had an account and I was pretty much the only one who never got into My Little Pony <_<

On the other hand, I got an HP Prime .

The HP Prime doesn't have a command to change sprites hue, so nope. :P

I could always do it manually, but that would be a bit slow-ish I think.

I would say it pretty much unofficially existed for real for weeks now, it was just never made official. Technically it's still unnoficial, though, since the HCWP room is kinda owned by Cemetech (although so far common courtesy seems to be to stop HCWP GMT before the real one starts or at least stop performing any activity that is against HCWP rules around 8 PM (such as just streaming games and not talking)

There also used to be a French-speaking HCWP called TCAP (T'as une calto? Allons programmer!) back in 2011, on saturday afternoons, but then I started working every Saturday and I also had increasing neck issues. It pretty much became solely a TI-Planet and Planete Casio thing before finally dying.

Hiya Unknown. Nice to have you aboard. Also some other users here are into MLP or used to be so they'll probably like your Youtube channel. :P (although that last link was insane O.O)

Also I tried the Snake game a while ago and it was pretty cool. I only tried Kerm's 2048, though. As for Peggle I'll need to check the topic on Cemetech when I have some time. I didn't play that game and I often confuse it with Pegs, but I remember Builderboy made a version for the 83+ a long while ago. :)

Yeah I was joking because English uses the same word for both french words "drogue" and "médicament" :P (the former refering to addicting medication and other substances, but more illegal ones)
