If we do the bootloader thingy for asm/c programs then we can free up a lot of RAM. As soon as I get a Prime I'll try to mess with it.

if 32 bit integers are enough then I'll totally do that. Integer math is much easier to deal with (faster, smaller and easier to implement).

You can actually run POSIX stuff on Windows with cygwin or msys but you still need to recompile it. I think including the source may be a good idea, but we can't really force people to open source their stuff. We can however make cross compiling mandatory.
