That said, if the sprite looks enough, maybe lobster claws could be an alternative to the laser eyes power up to destroy stuff in front of Walrii in the game?

That looks cool actually. I definitively think it would be better than the other power up, although Walrii will be able to see underwater

I'd see a diving mask instead, it would look pretty funny, would just be else a spritesheet or a overlay sprite and -hey! A walrus needs a diving mask to go underwater!

ANyway I notice that the lobster Walrii lacks shading so I might have to add that back. Also the tail is missing

I'd fund and comic. Think of a fish with a diving mask? I'd be curious and bring humour. Same with the walrii diving mask.

I guess that could be humoristic as well. Maybe for a Super Walrii Land 2 since I am keeping power ups to a minimum to get used to HP PPL collision detection and tilemapping.
