It's actually Juju's fault for physically pulling the plug. :P
Heyyyyyy

Seriously, W-803 is hosted on some s***ty netbook plugged on my TV in my living room in the middle of a huge wire mess so it's very possible someone steps on that mess every so often and makes it go offline.

I had a blue one, but my mom made me put it out in our shed, and it died :( I gutted it and now the glorious case sits on my dresser and holds all my wires.

What I really want is an iMac G4 and G4 cube, those things were cool looking:

I remember those. Juju school had them in 2003-04. Also those speakers had some good sound.

Do you know what's up with the WalrusIRC shoutbox @Juju? It's still not working. It worked for a few minutes then went down again.

The problem only happens in Opera 32, even after an hard refresh and browser restart.

The fullscreen version remains unnafected (for now)

It's not specific to Opera, the scrollback is broken for some reason. I have the same issue in Firefox here.

Dream of Omnimaga

It works fine for juju apparently, so it seems to be on per-user/browser basis.

Dream of Omnimaga

Yeah same, but for some reasons once the chat loaded, it jumps back up then down very fast once.

Ok I found a solution to the problem and added a button to apply it conveniently. If wirc is broken for you then click the walrii in the top left > options > clear local storage. I'll add a warning as well to direct users to it in case they don't see this post.

Here you go :)

If you add this after
socket.on('reconnect', function(num)
{

at around line 352 in main.js, it will notify the users if something is wrong and allow them to fix it with one click. This will reliably do it:

if(!auth) {
    $("#messages").append("<tr class='message'><td></td><td><span style='color: red;'>You are either not authenticated or you are affected by a bug. Click <a href='javascript:localStorage.clear();location.reload();'>here</a> to fix it.</span></td><td></td></tr>");
    $("body,html").scrollTop($(document).height()-$(window).height());
}

Thanks, added it. Thank you for figuring out the js to do that automagically too, definitely better than doing a per-browser tutorial. :P And also much easier for the less tech-savvy users.

The only issue is that in shoutbox view with the CW theme, the button can only be half-seen because the menu is too big for the shoutbox. Good idea, though.
