Gaming / Re: Zelda remade in voxels

This is pretty neat. The perspective seems a bit weird though. Sometimes, I was able to strike enemies when I didn't think I was close enough, and other times I got  hit by enemies when it looked like they weren't close enough.

A lot of people had been predicting that the NX would be out this year, but that really doesn't seem to be the case. I'd just add this as another rumor in the huge pile that's growing. While I don't regret buying my Wii, I will say there haven't been as many titles released that really grabbed me. Honestly, with Zelda being pushed back I do kind of have to wonder if maybe it'll come out next year and will be on the new system instead. It really wouldn't bother me that much to be honest. They kind of ended up doing that with Twilight Princess, although in that case it got a dual release.

I actually somewhat agree with the OP. Porting can be a nice way to increase the amount of software available in a decent amount of time. Some things to consider though:

1.) Some routines will need to be re-written due to hardware differences.
2.) People have limited time. They may want to spend it working on their own projects as opposed to simply porting things others have made.
3.) Not all things are open source, so porting is made more difficult. There may be licensing issues as well.

:o No, I didn't realize that. Maybe people don't have enough patience? Although, to be fair, I have beaten some pretty crazy levels. :P

I'd assume  MateoConLechuga choose to spell it CEsium as a play on words since it's a shell for the CE. The way you worded your post it's seemed like you were trying to be rude and a know-it-all. If that's not the case, I apologize.

There actully is a CE BASIC specific archives in cemetech, last time I checked.

But make sure toget Cesium, as it is the only shell released atm.
Ahh hem! I believe it's Caesium.
And you would be wrong. The shell for the CE is called Cesium. If you are going to be a smart ass about correcting someone you should check your facts first.

I want a titanium calculator. Can you imagine how cool it would be to have a calculator that could double as a means of self defense?

I already figured the friend thing out. The spikes were a bit bothersome, but I was actually able to get through the either big or small without hitting any of them (though it did take a bit of practice). ;) The hammer bros at the end were the biggest PITA. I kept screwing up on the jump before them, or messed up after. I finally figured out the best way to get past them. *edit* I'm not sure how to do a friend request though, only how to accept one.

@DJ Omnimaga I played through a lot of your levels, and beat most of them. I have a few left to try out still. I was the first one to beat CW fortress of doom, so I'm pretty happy about that. I'll also have to look tomorrow and see if I can figure out how to accept that friend request.

At some point I'll have to post some of my levels here. I think mine have pretty low completion rates as well, but they aren't really that hard tbh.

Brandon W would pretty much be the person to ask. His website is here: http://brandonw.net/ . There is also a good amount of info here: http://wikiti.brandonw.net/index.php?title=WikiTI_Home . He also tends to idle in #Omnimaga if you want to catch him on IRC. I don't think that he's registered here or if he frequents this IRC channel.

My internet started acting up afterwards, and I haven't been able to reproduce it. It seems likely that it was on my end afterall.

Site Discussion & Bug Reports / Site hangs on login

Codewalrus and Omnimaga won't load on my win 7 laptop running the most current version of chrome. They hang on the login and just show the orange Loading... text

*Edit* It's working now. On Omnimaga, I changed stay logged in forever to stay logged in for a day and it worked. Not sure what changed here.
