Tech, Science, IT discussion & News / Re: iPhone X

EDIT: If you've watched videos about "iPhone vs <enter android device here>" the iPhone does exceedingly well every time. Somehow it does a better job at managing RAM so it can get by with only 3GB where an android device would need much more to complete the same tasks. The processor is very decent (in single core) scores compared to the Snapdragon and can perform most tasks as well or almost as well as other devices.

It's still way overpriced, I'd have to sell my laptop, then a kidney to buy it.  :blah:

Hey everyone, I've made a video on how to fix many of the common errors I've seen posted here at Cemetech, CodeWalrus and on YouTube.  :w00t:
These problems include:
  • Wrong TI-Connect
  • Connectivity Error
  • 'Failure to Send' Errors
  • Syntax Error
  • Invalid Error
  • Memory Error
  • Need LibLoad Error
  • Outdated Library Error
  • ReadMe Error
  • Way to many more to post! Please check the description of video to see a time-stamp of where your issue is.
Here is version 2!

Also feel free to suggest problems I should address in the video!

Hi I am Steve and while I don't know how to code on calculators, I am learning GML (Gamemaker Language) and maybe soon I will try learning the programming language for calculator games.
Hey, I am assuming you have some type of TI 83/84 calculator. I highly suggest learning to program your calculator, it's not that hard to start off (I made an entire game just from being self-taught) and if you enjoy it you can make some really cool programs! A great resource that helps you get started off is the TI-Basic Starter Kit. Also a great reference is the Command Index which I still use all the time!  ;)

I am interested about the animation thing. I haven't gotten time to check your level pack again yet but I am curious about how do animations work.
It uses Doors 9.

how do you vote in the polls? I want to choose 'other' but I don't know how.

Anyways, I'd like WASD for direction and E as [2nd]
Maybe you can add custom key remapping instead of 1 preset keymap?

Glad this is coming along quickly!  :D

Wha-what? How could re-downloading not work? Have you tried ~powercycle? (I dunno if this works in CW IRC)

Calm down @xMarminq_ , this isn't entirely hopeless. Do you have any stray backups? Can you extract the .8xv from your calculator? If worse comes to worse, you can always re-download the program from the archives, load that, then rebuild the new levels. Don't worry, we'll it working again!  famous last words...

I tried to make a walrus with DCS8IC, turns out that walruses eyes are really hard to make proportionate to the rest of their bodies. anyways I gave it my best shot.

Cesium view. Apparently Cesium hates being screenshotted.

EDIT: I found this, @_iPhoenix_ ++

Right click -> Pin to Start

I'm not sure what is complex about that?
@MateoConLechuga (do I need this here if I quoted him?)
He wants it in the 'all programs' list, not the start menu.
#28
oh! so you want to pin the shortcuts to the 'all programs' list!
Yeah, there's no easy way to do this, however if you use this shortcut frequently, it'll show up in the 'most used' section at the top. Other than that, there's no way to get apps at the top.

Why don't you want to use the Start Menu? Is it getting to cluttered?

New pro tip if this is the case: ;)

To clear some space on the Start menu, group your app tiles into folders by grabbing and dropping a tile on top of another tile.

EDIT: You can always request a feature to pin apps to the 'all programs' list with the feedback app.

I don't know that I'm understanding your question correctly, but here's my 2 cents.
If you mean you just want to pin a game shortcut to the Start Menu, just right-click the shortcut then click, 'Pin to Start'

Also, why don't you just delete the old shortcut and make a new one pointing to the new starcraft, or use Steam?

Wow, I just found DJ Omnimaga's music. I'm shocked at how much I actually like it! Good job!  8)
