Now now, unless Ivoah was kidding, it was just a little punctuation mistake and in a chatroom. It's not like the person constantly abuses grammar and stuff, so I'm unsure if grammar nazism is tolerated here in such case. While I want members to do an effort to spell, punctuate and use good grammar, let's not cross the line.

I was indeed kidding.

Indeed. Let's not bring it up :P. But it was strange that this particular, suspicious number was getting so much attention all of a sudden. But again, it used to have some calculator-related history way back in the TI-80 era, when people used 69! instead of a For() loop to slow down BASIC programs execution. The TI-80 was so slow that it was actually a viable alternative. O.O

Actually it's still pretty slow on the 84+. :P

Dream of Omnimaga

Yeah but nowhere as bad as on the TI-80. On the TI-80 even 2+2 was slow, but nowhere as bad as the 118 MHz ClassPad II.

I was just pointing out that the TI-80 makes everything on the 84+ look ultra fast. :P

Then try 2+2 with Axe or ASM O.O... this reminds me...
[spoiler]If you have want to compare with other calcs start at the beginning.

Theoretically 2+2 with ASM takes about:
~ 6 Mhz calc

ld a, 2      ; 7 T-States
add a, 2     ; [s]4[/s] 7 T-States

7 + 4 7 =11 14 T-States
1 / (6*10^6) *  11 14 = 1.83333333*10^-6 2.3*10^-6 sec, or 1.8 2.3 micro sec.
(also thats 1/(1.5*10^7) * 11 14 = 7.3*10^-7 9.3*10^-7 sec, or 730 930 nano sec on 15 mhz mode)
Just felt like doing that ;D

EDIT: Add is 7 T-States, not 4 <_<
