Title: TI-82A hacked, Graph3DC beta, Line++ & CE TextLib
Post by: Dream of Omnimaga on August 02, 2015, 03:09:55 PM
Some new calculator things came out since our June/July notable releases article was posted and one was actually missed, so I thought I would mention them:

Line++ (TI-82+/83+/84+) https://codewalr.us/index.php?topic=628.0
-You have to grab circles with your hookshot then swing around them to jump higher. If you touch the circles yourself it's game over. A nice idea by Cumred.

Graph3DC closed beta (TI-84+CSE) https://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11747
-Kerm's color port of his Graph 3D app has now reached closed-beta. Once installed, it acts as if it was fully integrated inside the TI-OS, so it can be used normally like any other graph mode. So rejoice: Your color Z80 calculator will soon support 3D graphing and it's quite fast! For closed-beta informations, click the topic link above.

ASM on TI-82 Advanced now possible! https://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=16990
-The TI-82 Advanced is a new version of the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition monochrome calculator now available in France. However, it has the same problem as the TI-Nspire series: It lacks native ASM/C support and requires hacks in order to use it. Ironically, it even appears more protected than the new color models including the TI-83 Premium CE, despite the TI-82A being based on an older model. However, thanks to Brandon Wilson, it is now possible to add ASM to your calculator via an hack! Here is a Twitter post about it from him (https://twitter.com/brandonlwilson/status/626312531322253312). The exploit isn't out yet, but according to a reply from him to someone's response to his tweet (https://twitter.com/brandonlwilson/status/627532481034452992), there will be one in the near future.

UPDATE: CE TextLib (TI-83PCE/TI-84+CE) https://www.cemetech.net/programs/index.php?mode=file&id=1340
-This tool by DrDnar could be handy for people who wants to port Doors CSE BASIC games to the TI-84+CE, as it provides functionalities similar to some of the Celtic2CSE text commands.
