@Cumred_Snektron for some reasons, when the album started I thought it was stuff from Imagine Dragons :P

haha, it doesn't really sound like it though

Yeah, at first glance the beginning of the first song did but then it slowly got different.

Bonkers volume 7 was a special album because in 1999 trance music became popular and happy hardcore had to compete against it. As a result, most happy hardcore artists adapted their styles to be closer to trance then happy hardcore died until 2002. Then in 2002 it revived as UK hardcore. Basically, this is when hardcore music departed from its typical cheesy sound towards a more euphoric sound, but since the transition was not complete in Bonkers 7, this gave an unique album (especially the Hixxy CD. The Dougal CD is the one that is the closest to UK hardcore from the new millenium).

A similar trend has been observed since 2009, where UK hardcore is trying to compete with electro music from America, but the result is often not as good as with trancecore IMHO.

Bonkers 6 also had some quite "advanced" songs for its time too:

Lol @Unicorn , the first song has the same melody as the last Bonkers song I linked to :P (as well as my song Grooving to the Melody). Also it sounds nice :)

Upcoming Caravan Palace concert = Caravan Palace after Caravan Palace after Caravan Palace!

So hyped :w00t::w00t::w00t:

Wow @Juju that sounds quite weird but awesome at the same time O.O. Because of the band name I first thought this was a joke like high-pitched music or Crazybus material, but I was surprised to hear it was actually a legit cover.

I love that song, didn't know it was by The Who!

Oh yes, and this:

To be honest, I'm not much into the Who. That last song is nice, though. The only issue with it is that it's overplayed on the radio, especially at work. >.< (even more than Celine Dion)

Orchestral versions/covers of MCoG music:

u/Dream of Omnimaga May 20, 2016, 10:24:23 PM
I just found the Syrian version of The Mysterious Cities of Gold theme, and I thought it was interesting, because it's the same music as the American version but there are no vocals at all.

Also @SJCubed I found the Korean MCoG opening: Seriously what the hell? It sounds like something you would hear in a Care Bear or Teletubbies opening O.O (it reminds me the unfitting French opening for Dragon Ball Z). I guess maybe it has something to do with the different culture in Korea about anime back in the 80's (the Japanese version had different background music and sounds that sounded closer to anime of the 80's than western stuff)
