Lol - Yeah I do think it will still be possible to have nice graphics and OK speed ... It just sucks because the potential for MUCH better graphical performance is there - just locked away.

This is the vid i posted on IRC a while back ... this is pretty much on the money for rural public bathrooms:

Lol.

The _getCSC system call does support multiple arrow keypresses (on previous calcs at least), but its still far slower than direct access.

APPS are still an unknown at this point. Hooks might not be easily implemented either.

Lol cool, being from Australia, spiders are something that you get used to ... well mostly.

That is a hell of a lot though!

Not really sure at this point. I think i'll build it with acceleration in mind and tweak it for best fit ... even if that means it ends up constant :P.

I posted this screenie in chat a little while ago when talking about some CSE scrolling issues. It's from my doomed Cemetech contest entry that I am *hoping* to have more progress on in coming months.

Basically it's like Mario, but featuring cats (due to the contest).

I think I might only get it to demo stage (especially due to the CE coming out), with a level to run and jump in, some simple enemies and stuff.

To satisfy the space element, well it is a different planet and all, but I was going to have a starfield effect in the background as well.

Note that for some reason its really jerky in the emulator, not so much on calc.

Nice!

I love chiptunes, I usually listen to SlayRadio while coding (http://www.slayradio.org).

Lately I've been listening to New Retro stuff which can be nice. Like Lazerhawk for example:

I'm more than happy to support the cause ... but yes I would also like to know roughly what the site requires per month to run? And if there are any yearly discounts etc?

Also taking a leaf out of MC's book ... the site has basically fallen off the face of the earth, but its still open. Due to spambots we disabled new user registrations which probably hurt us a bit ... but its still open as a resource and stuff. I am virtually the only semi-active member but its cool.

I personally think that Codewalrus is a great place. It also gives me the motivation to work on my xLIBC BASIC RPG ... or even the Zelda demo :>.

I also love the mascot sprite, especially the eyes hehe :D.

Not finishing most of the projects that I started ... then losing all my info in a series of PC crashes.

Yeah sprite scaling on the CSE is probably going to be too slow - It *might* be a possibility on the new ez80 CE calcs however.

I very quickly resized some other sprites to use to show the character moving in different directions (note some of the pixels are borked).

I also had these graphics lying around - I got the tiles from somewhere, and the character I was looking at some rougelike 8x8 sprites and animated my own :). I literally made this this afternoon with very minimal coding required - xLIBC Zelda walking demo!!!
