On June 10th 2002, I started making electronic dance music. Eventually, I released various albums, two of which were in cassette format and many others in digital download format. However, over the last 15 years, many people from Omnimaga, Cemetech, CodeWalrus, other websites and social media have requested physical CD copies of my 32-bits eurodance, trance, happy hardcore, UK hardcore and power metal work.
Tonight, the wait is over:

Thanks to Kunaki's on-demand, direct-to-customer CD printing service, you can now purchase all the full-lenght albums that I have released from January 2007 to present, many of which includes songs from as early as 2002. Here are the ten albums that are now available in physical format:
Epic Journey through the Galaxy (2007) EDM
Journey through the Moon Dark Side (2007) EDM
Enter the Dream World (2007) EDM
Angel in the Stars (2007) EDM
It's the End of Time (2008) EDM
Destiny Knight (2009) EDM & VGM
Tales of the Knight of the Moon (2011) Power metal
Ancient Kingdom of Omnimaga Special Edition (2014) Power Metal
In UK Hardcore and Dance we Trust (2017) EDM
Illegal Music Chemistry (2017) Experimental & VGM
Of course, as always, my entire discography, including two compilations and one DJ mix, are available for purchase in digital format at http://djomnimaga.bandcamp.com for much cheaper, but for those who have been waiting for physical collectibles for so long, head to http://kunaki.com/mSales.asp?PublisherId=147037&pp=1 to grab them.
Note, however, that shipping might take up to 5 weeks in USA and 7 worldwide, and that Kunaki doesn't accept returns, due to being essentially an automated service. Thanks to
@Juju for recommending this CD fullfilment service to me and to
@p2 for convincing me very hard to put my music on CD earlier this year. Also thanks to everyone that supported my music in the last 15 years.

Good day for the CodeWalrus music label ^_^
guess I should finally buy mine today ^.^
inb4 dj gets rich through selling CDs O.O
Lol I doubt it, but I bet a few people will want some of them. As long as each album sells 1 copy every 180 days so that I don't have to order them myself every 180 day :P (Kunaki automatically deletes albums that had no sales for 180 days)
lol. btw ho many orders so far? :)
(and how much money did u make, in case u want to share that information) :)
I'm wondering about how lucrative such a CD store is ^^
Zero order. Nothing at all so far. The weird thing though is that my 4 oldest albums are marked as being last ordered yesterday, before they went for public sale. I'm starting to wonder if Kunaki didn't ship new copies to me in response to the recent shipping issues I had.
Hey, congratulations DJ! The first CD releases of one's own music is always a great thing. I'll certainly pick up an album or two on my next payday ;)
Thanks a lot. This is something I always dreamed of in the last decade, but I did not know any reliable CD making service that ships directly to customers as they order until Juju told me about Kunaki (and the others were too expensive). I also did not have the equipment at home to do proper discs that were not just CD-R's. I wanted to charge as low as I could for each album, which made Kunaki, despite being very bare-bones, very convenient. It just felt good to hold CDs of my music that just looks like a CD that you buy at a store (the only difference being the lack of an UPC bar code but c that lol)

Eh, gotta need those if you want to sell your CDs in store. Heard Kunaki can issue them automatically if you want, won't be hard.
But yeah, feels pretty cool to have your music in physical format in my hands.
Yeah true. That said, I don't think my CD's will be available in stores anytime soon. It will take 1 year before I reach 1000 subscribers on Youtube. (Iwhich is required for Sunrise Records). Not to mention I think they will only sell my stuff near where I live, not nationwide, since they're looking into promoting local artists, not national ones)
urgh, might be a problem since many of us dont even use youtube... (still haven't accepted the terms and conditions from the popup that came a few months ago, only use playit.pk so I dont have to)
Also I dont think selling ur CDs in a store would be such a good idea since most of the guys loving ur music arent from canada ;)
Yeah true. I drfinitively wonder if Sunrise approach will get more people into independent music, though.
Cool. I'm not that found of physical copies because digital versions are enough for me, but it reminded me how cool your music was. I've put the whole discography in my bandcamp basket, I'll probably order it soon so I'll be able to listen to it in my car! At the moment I'm listening to "Theola the One", it's so epic! >:D
To be honest I'm the same way now, especially since I can keep my entire collection of music copied over to my computer in one space. I still like buying physical copies of my favorite metal bands as collectibles, though.
And yeah you can get the digital collection for much cheaper. I think CD's are $8.30 with shipping if you buy one at once, which means $1 to Kunaki, $4.30 to shipping and $3 to me. The entire digital collection can be obtained for even less :P
The only thing I hate about digital is if the service deletes your account or files after a long period of inactivity like iTunes did with my purchases. Same if the service shuts down permanently. Good thing I had backups of Bass Launch's and Instant Remedy's music.
Thats just beautiful. I'll buy some.
Thanks. Glad you like them :walrii:
looks like u'll get rich dj ;)
btw, how many CDs did u sell so far, like, is it how you expected it, publishing ur music as CDs? Or did you expect some more, or maybe much less? ^^
None so far, except the two copies of IMC. Hopefully I can sell 10 of each the first year but I won't get my hopes up. As long as each CD sells once every 179 day minimum so that I don't have to buy them myself <_<
huh really? that surprises me after some of us already said they would buy a copy.... :'(
anyways add (number of different albums available in CD format) to the number of sold CDs
will buy mine tomorrow :)
Actually two more albums sold today. ^^ I blame waiting for paychecks :P
I'm probably one of those :3
Update: For those who wants to buy multiple CDs at the same time using Paypal instead of a credit card, I added a new link in the first post, which is http://kunaki.com/msales.asp?PublisherId=147037&pp=1
I the future, I will try to see if Kunaki's API lets people build customized stores in which I could let the user choose payment method. Otherwise I will probably setup http://djomnimaga.codewalr.us to have some redirects to specific Kunaki pages to make it easier.
uuh, 40$ for the CDs, 20$ for the shipping x.x
U should introduce special deals for everyone buying more than 5CDs at once... 9_9
Yeah shipping fees are a serious problem when buying online >.< And Kunaki keeps $1 per CD (although it's not as bad as those two other services that kept $5-10 x.x)
Sadly, unlike Bandcamp, Kunaki lacks coupon codes
Got my CDs in today, they look nice!
Yay! Glad they arrived and fast :)
Just as an head up:
The two following CD albums will be discontinued on September 3rd 2017 and will become available only in digital format via Bandcamp after that date:
-In UK Hardcore we Trust
-It's the End of Time
And the same thing will happen on September 16th 2017 to the following album:
-Illegal Music Chemistry
That is unless those albums sell 1 physical copy in the meantime. Kunaki automatically removes albums if they don't get any sale for more than 180 days in a row. I am not willing to purchase my own copies and stack them up in my home over time just so that I can meet that criteria and re-uploading everything from scratch takes a considerable amount of time (and often give errors).
Quote from: Kunaki products list pageProducts which have not been ordered in 180 days are considered inactive and will be automatically deleted. To keep a product active you can order one unit every 180 days.
I just sprung for a copy of It's the End of Time; partially to keep it up, and partially because the title track was always one of my favourites from back in the TIMGUL days. Epic Journey is probably the one I'll go for next, once I've got a bit more spare cash to play around with, because that's got another of my old faves on it (the Trance remix of Firestorm).
Just out of curiosity, how has selling CD's been going overall?
From what I remember, the two CD's that Caleb bought were the only sales so far. All other sales were digital (the song called An Obestian tale sold 1 copy, In UK Hardcore we trust sold 1 and the entire discography bundle sold 1). Physical medias are mostly purchased as collectibles nowadays, though, so I can't really say I am that surprised.
Ahhhh, I see. Yeah, can't say I'm surprised either; part of my impetus to spring for a physical copy is the fact that I myself am a collector, so that's
kinda proving the point right there.
Still, here's to hoping you get at least a few more CD sales mate~
Well, look what was waiting for me in the mail this morning!
It appears the case was a little damaged in transit which is a shame, but the disc itself is fine and at the end of the day that's what matters. It's been about eight or so years since I last heard a lot of the material on here, so it's been a real blast from the past lemme tell ya :D
Yeah the last time I bought a CD online that did not come with a cracked case was in 2007. I hate that for collectibles <_<
Glad it arrived fine though :3=
dj knows where you live
i would move
So with the Canada Post fees and what I paid the CD's for, and the possibility of having to report my profits to Revenu Québec and canada revenue agency when doing my tax stuff, it looks like my albums will be all $9.99 each at Sunrise Records.
The 7 following albums are now available for a limited time in CD format:
-Tales of the Knight of the Moon
-Ancient Kingdom of Omnimaga Special Edition
-In UK Hardcore and Dance we Trust
-Hardcore Spectrum Disorder
-Maze of Life
-Hardcore Bloodbath
-Ride the 90's (single)
