Messages - Dream of Omnimaga

Keep in mind that a lot of the RAM is used by the OS, though. IIRC, it's like 16 MB user RAM. If you use massive buffers non-stop, some programs stop working after others were ran, but that could be just a memory leak due to an OS bug. This is why I try to not abuse GROB's like storing a 1024x768 map in there.

If somebody does a shell thing that launches the Prime OS or ASM programs it should probably display the free RAM and Flash.

I like the first two colors but shouldn't the background be a tiled pattern that says THE GAME ? :P

(Also if we're talking about the theme, we probably want to change the smileys.)
Yeah, right, I'm totally gonna do that <_<

Seriously, though, I think I'm gonna keep images to a minimum so that the site can be browsed easier on mobile. THe banner will probably have background screenshots like ticalc and Omni, though, as well as extra text summarizing the site theme and perhaps small calc icons like Omni had a while ago (perhaps some phones or phone shapes too)

EDIT: By the way, what about this?
#17718
No problem. Somebody will probably need to modify it so that it also shows up on board index, though, but smaller and with only 10-15 topics at a time.

It doesn't necessarily have to use decimals, but you would need to check if any formula rely on them before getting rid of them. I think not, in this game, though. You could probably go with 4 bytes integers if you wanted to.

You can actually run POSIX stuff on Windows with cygwin or msys but you still need to recompile it. I think including the source may be a good idea, but we can't really force people to open source their stuff. We can however make cross compiling mandatory.
Indeed. Plus I can understand why some people make their software closed-source, especially after what happened to Doors CS 7 a few months (or years?) ago.

And yeah it is required by upload rules to include an executable.

I actually put all of them in the first post on Omni :P. There were more too since I didn't include attachments this time (they'll be included once there are indications on Omni that this site exists, although whoever admins img.ourl.ca or monitors Omnimaga traffic leaving their site might have some clues)

Aw sorry to hear. But again, I'm not one to talk considering I am the only person on this board (as of November 16th) to never have been a brony at one point or another. :P

I liked how this came out, although I felt that at the same time there were some issues that made the game somewhat look unpolished or incomplete, especially considering there is a paid copy:

-Some features are missing compared to the TI-83+ original. For example, the background in Level 3 and 9 should normally scroll by itself (backwards in LV 9) or be animated to act like it's scrolling. The animations speed are sometimes wrong too.
-Although on the PC it's fine, on my Nexus 5 the frame rate is extremely choppy. I'm unsure if much can be done about it due to the language limitations, though, but I suspect that you are rendering the entire map every frame rather than only what's visible.
-We can change the resolution as we see fit, which gives an unfair gaming advantage to people playing in full screen mode. I think that instead, the game should scale itself up (using no smoothening filtering on the sprites) so that it always remains a 20x15 sprite grid in 4:3 or 27x15 in 16:9.
-Since there is music, maybe some bouncing or hit sound effects could be added.
-Also the highscore list no longer works.
-The title screen logo animation is missing

Nope, even codewalr.us didn't return any result. Maybe later you can turn it ON to public then I can add it? Then you can turn it back off. Just so I can use it when at work and stuff.

Also I changed the Welcome guest/member at the top of the screen so that not only it replaces Unread topics and Recent posts since last visit with Cooliojazz's mod, but also show up for guests instead of just members. This is until I decide to move stuff elsewhere and stuff. I was too busy this weekend to work on much stuff.

I don't think so, but you can import the picture inside Mappy, since this is what I did at first with the grayscale maps. It just takes a very long while IIRC.

I personally think it's fine if staff posts still count. After all, that's how I had Omni always setup in the past and if we really wanted to boost our post counts we would boost them by 1000, not 7.

IMHO, only spam/humor shouldn't count, or intro if we ever get those boards, but so far I think humor/jokes will be about 4-5 threads max in the off-topic section (funny pics, Youtube vids, quotes, etc) and I am contemplating doing like Cemetech for intros so that there is 1 single introduction thread for everyone, to avoid cluttering the board.

Also major issue: The forums no longer show up in Tapatalk search. It still supports Tapatalk AFAIK, but If I type Calculators, TI-Nspire, TI-84 plus, Codewalrus or even the URL in Tapatalk search, it says there is no result found. I don't know how Tapatalk works but I suspect juju needs to enter meta tags in the Tapatalk settings or I need to put some meta tags in the theme.

On a side note, tapatalk needs tags or something because I cannot find Codewalrus in it.

They might be although I think Linux/OSX-only games are pretty rare, right? I guess they could be allowed too.

Ah good to see your 8x8 rendition of Reuben so I know he actually wears that hat. I promised LDStudios that I'd try to make him some 16x16 full color reuben sprites so yeah
I thought he would reuse 2x scaled copies of the color tiles above? But yeah the color 8x8 Reuben is a modified version of AoC's Axe Reuben sprite. I had a walking version somewhere, though.

Wasn't there also a new movie in the works too?
