Lol, Google Translate can do weird stuff, especially with German and Japanese. Also back when my English was still absolutely horrible, my games suffered from it. Also to add to the injury, in hi school in Quebec, we only learn basic English and read text, but by the year we graduate we still have troubles writing a paragraph of text, we can't figure out when to use here or there, this or that, etc. In order to perfect our written English skills we had to play JRPGs. But that was in the 90's, back when Japanese game translations were absolutely sucky. I bet at least 1 hi-school student in Quebec wrote "This story is happy end" at the end of his English story.

Nowadays with the Internet, more and more people can understand English at least correctly as it's nearly everywhere on Internet. Even to the point I'm in French chatrooms and we're writing in English half of the time for no reason.

That could be an idea actually. I wonder if there would be much demand, though. I would like to experiment, since some people might be interested in translating games or getting theirs translated. My main worry is that everyone will just beg for translators, which will obviously lead to no answer. So ideally it should encourage authors to implement the translations from other people in their programs themselves.

Also the fact that at some point in the past, the entire CodeWalrus staff, as well as half of the regular members, spoke French as their native language, yet the website remained English. This was a bit why we had that one 2015 April Fools prank about CW becoming a French site. :P

DJ Omnimaga: We should add a section in CodeWalrus for translations  ???
Like you upload any text/dialogue/instructions in english and other members translate it into their languages ;)
This should make it much easier to support lanugage settings in programs any of us develop ;)
Oh, I like this idea, translation help thread, someone gives out their strings to translate, I'd gladly help translating some stuff in French.

This reminds me how EyeAreSee was in #omnimaga for years and it took me until last Summer before finally realizing he was @Patrick Davidson O.O . I had the same issue with EinEifler on Cemetech as well (who is AHelper0)
People with different alt nicks >.> ...wait, that was Patrick? o.o
