Hi Alvajoy123 and welcome to the forums:

Sorcery of Uvutu uses Doors CSE 8.x, which is only for the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition, but Doors CE 9.0 for the TI-84 Plus CE is currently in development, so as soon as KermMartian releases Doors CE 9.0, this game will run on your calculator.

Doors CS 9 is in development and will include xLIB when released. Almost all CSE games developed with DCS8+libs in mind should work unaltered on the CE.

@tr1p1ea Do you know if the real(8 scrolling commands and buffer shifting will work similarly graphically on the CE? I know the buffer layout is different, but I am mainly curious about if Flappy Bird CSE and my Tunnel clone will work fine, plus Uvutu uses scrolling during battle transitions.

Also I wish Kerm didn't wait for the CE APP signing key in 2015 because this virtually postponed DCE9 release by 1 year and led to some authors including myself to redo our CSE games from scratch using different libs rather than waiting D:

There will be some tiny differences however I am hoping to replicate the same effect for that command between the calcs ... the only difference is that ironically some of the LCD shifting commands are faster on the CSE than the CE :S.

Yeah that's because the CSE had hardware horizontal scrolling, while the CE doesn't. :P

Thanks tr1p and DJ for covering what I was going to say. It's only a matter of when, not if, that this is playable on the CE. Trust me, I'm sure everyone working on Doors CE is using every scrap of free time they can afford to crank it out (of course, though, everybody needs a break), and it'll be here before you know it.

The main issue with Doors CE was how development was halted during the ill-fated attempt to get an hold of the APP signing key, instead of focusing efforts immediately into a 8xp version of the shell. Kerm was much less busy back then, based on his post graph, so I bet that if a DoorsCE.8xp development would have started without waiting for a potential signing key, the shell would already been out since early 2016. But life is unpredictable regarding extra free time, so I can't blame anyone for lacking enough time to work on something or not expecting to run out of free time in the future, not to mention we all need breaks, as you say.

Because you can't actually make an App for the TI 83 CE because you need to have access to Texas Instruments's signing key in order to make one.
They tried to lobby TI to reverse this decision but like everyone said, they only ended up wasting 1 year hoping TI would change their mind.

Developers can use the archive memory but the program (code) must be in RAM in order to run and this is slightly more involved
than just run a program from flash.
Unless of course you have ties with TI and can convince them ?

^This, and 123outerme only does TI-BASIC right now (or at least, for this game).
