Title: Flair Problems
Post by: calcplays on October 20, 2015, 02:20:16 AM
On the CodeWalrus forums, whenever I click on the blue "ti-83+/84+" flair (flairs - is that what they are called?), I am taken to a new tab entitled "Set Search Parameters." There, I am told that there was a search for "[ti-83 /84 ]", which evidently does not follow the rule that Each word must be at least two characters long. When I click on the other flairs, I am able to see actual search results that correspond to the flair.

After further testing, the only time anything ever happened at all when I clicked on a flair was on 1 browser (Google Chrome on Windows 7 64-bit.) On other browsers (Firefox & Google Chrome on Windows 7 32-bit), nothing happens.

They are called tags actually. Kinda like on the Chinese TI community forum, they make searching specific content easier. It doesn't work when not logged in, though, and it hasn't been tested in most browsers, since we didn't create the plugin.

Oh, OK. Thank you.

No problem. On a side note, I just tried the tags in Firefox and they behave like in Chrome and Opera. I assume that when you tried in Firefox and Chrome on 32 bit you were not logged in?

Correct, I was not logged in when I tried it on the other browsers. I just checked on Firefox after logging in and was again able to experience flairs tags.

That's because it's server-sided so it's not tied to any browser.

True. I was asking because I thought that in his browser the tags were not clickable no matter if he was logged in or not.
