You never buy from amazon - what's wrong with amazon? D:

Dream of Omnimaga

I rarely buy from Amazon because it's overpriced. I remember seeing the TI-85 in used condition for $85 there, yet it's easily available for $10 on Ebay. Same for music: I often saw electronic compilations for $40 when they could be gotten for half that price elsewhere.

As for Chinese sellers I just am careful about their recent rating. Ironically, stuff from China sometimes takes less time to ship to Canada than US stuff does

I don't know what's wrong with amazon: I never buy from them so I don't know! :) it's a circular thing, but since I don't understand the security system like I understand eBay's, I don't bother giving them a chance. DJ is also right that for used items the prices are always high to exorbitant, and I only buy used, never new.

Amazon security is very good.
Well just to clarify I don't mean like bank info or something, I mean the whole setup with contacting the buyer, starting a return or complaint, and knowing no matter what you'll either get your item or your money in the end.

Yeah that's what I meant too. I had to use it before and it went along very smoothly.

I scammed myself with the three-shell game. Lost some good clothes that day.
What is that game? O.o

aetios

I got scammed one time with a bootleg minish cap cart. Bit of a pity but whatever, it was 15 euros.
ceci n'est pas une signature

Dream of Omnimaga

That sucks. I heard counterfeit GBA carts were rampant on Ebay, though, and now people are trying to pass SNES repro carts off as real ones for $200 instead of $500, for example.

I once bought a Terranigma NTSC repro on purpose, though, because I wanted to play the game on a real SNES and semi-real cartridge. It doesn't keep its saves, though.

Not really a scam but rather Laposte a really poor job...

I sent my computer from France to Guadeloupe.
It cost me 100€...
When i got it there, the computer was broken, it was in a terrible condition.
They broke the PC case that cost me 100€...

But that's not all !
My motherboard died some time later...
I later discovered Laposte broke it along with the processor as well !

In total, this cost me 400€ and and they broke my main computer...
I have decided to repair my PC case rather than buying a brand new one but it is still not lookng that great...
And yes, i had protected my PC properly.

Thankfully, my consoles were not broken and they look fine.

I got scammed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation by 22€ for their RPI Zero that I ordered now 9 months back. Shame on you and finally ship it!

Wait, is the RPI Zero officially fake, a scam or are they just taking absurdly long to ship it? Because I would say it's not a scam unless they missed a specific deadline and refused to give your money back if you asked a refund. Magical Game Factory did that with Pier Solar's reprint editions and I got my copy almost 2 years later than I was supposed to get it. Many people managed to ask refunds, though.

It's more of a joke, but I am still waiting...
