I added Omnom instead because some people might have troubles getting WIRC to work, especially since it's incomplete. There's also a limit of links and text you can put in the title bar. Maybe juju could make the extra links more visible, though, such as an halo around Walrii or changing Walrii to something like an expanding icon.

Yeah, a shadow, that would probably be a good idea.
u/CKH4 February 10, 2015, 11:28:19 PM
That would look really cool in my opinion as I had lost the options without realizing that the walrus was a link.

Something went wrong
u/Dream of Omnimaga September 03, 2015, 07:02:46 PM
Wut? I wonder if it has to do with the tutorial sub-forum addition? I think something went wrong with SSI, though.
u/novenary September 03, 2015, 08:46:09 PM
What the hell. O.O I hope it's not the hack I did in the glib tutorial thread. :P
u/Dream of Omnimaga September 03, 2015, 09:30:32 PM
Hm what kind of hack did you do? Because that could possibly do it. Have you changed server stuff today?

Otherwise, you should perhaps check server access logs in case a third-party found a security breach or guessed our passwords

I just shuffled a few post IDs to change the post order, that's all. I doubt this would break it. It looks like it's a problem with simple portal.
u/Dream of Omnimaga September 03, 2015, 09:35:35 PM
Oh, that could do it. I had bad experiences with topic ID changes before. Could you maybe revert the change to see what happens, or possibly delete the topic then repost it? In the past, when I did such change, some posts would vanish or other weird stuff would happen.

Also in case you haven't noticed, post IDs jumped by 100000, which is one consequence of swapping IDs by hand (on the Omni forums I had this happen with topic IDs too)

Testing something.
Edit : it works ! Thanks DJ. Everything's back in order now. I had to to more voodoo stuff with the message IDs. :P

Yay! The problem is SSI Recent Topics (which the Active topics page uses) will display all topics in which the last 400 posts or so were posted. However, the manipulation you did led to a big gap between ID 21400 and 121400 or so, so it checked new posts from 121000 upwards, which is why it was empty.

This was sort of odd (but minor): I received an email notification that I was mentioned, and it pointed to the right post, but the wording is a bit strange:
QuoteDJ Omnimaga mentioned you in the post "StarTrek, you have been mentioned at a post in CodeWalrus", you can view the post at https://codewalr.us/index.php?msg=23900
Clearly, the title of the post isn't "StarTrek, you have been mentioned at a post in CodeWalrus" :P Unless I'm missing something here.
u/Yuki October 15, 2015, 02:03:11 AM
I get that sometimes as well.
u/Dream of Omnimaga October 15, 2015, 03:07:33 AM
Wow I have an idea of why this might happen (perhaps when that post mentions more than 1 person at a time?), but it's definitively a strange bug. I'll have to poke the author of the plugin about it.

A bit of a necropost, but I wasn't sure I should post this in the "todo list & updates discussion".

I noticed that in http://codewalr.us/1139/32818 , the smilies at the beginning of the post were turned to images, as they should because I didn't check the box not to - but then a couple smilies near the end of the post weren't.
