Well this guy here seemed okay at first but the problem, he wanted to get to 20 posts quick so he could get to IRC. Fun fact: You can get to IRC with 0 posts.

It isn't  (well, I think), but apparently if you spam more than me you can become myself. *.*

Also welcome to CodeWalrus JamesV. :) How did you find us by the way? :P
Thanks! Just from seeing the posts on Omni & Cemetech :)
Aaah ok, I was wondering because you weren't very active recently, I didn't post on Omni for a few weeks and I only post about 1-4 times a day on Cemetech. But again community activity was 2008-esque lately, so by being rarer, new posts are not missed as easily :P

Fortunately for you there should be some familiar faces over here, although aside from me, most members joined the community between late 2010 and early 2013. However, since we seem to be getting some new users lately, I would recommend introducing yourself in the topic linked in that welcome PM you probably got when signing up :)

Yeah that was pretty common back then >.<. A lot of people who were more troublesome usually posted fast until they reached 20 posts then never posted again.

Hmm, it seems like in SMF 2.0 the leet easter egg is gone. In SMF 1.1, when you had exactly 1337 posts, your postcount showed "leet" instead of "1337". Also, above 100000 posts your post count was hidden and replaced with "i am a geek".
u/Snektron January 17, 2015, 10:57:33 AM
i see you tested @1340 posts :p
u/Dream of Omnimaga January 17, 2015, 12:13:40 PM
Nah I checked when I had 1337 earlier. :P
u/Snektron January 17, 2015, 12:38:24 PM
That's what i meant :P
u/Dream of Omnimaga January 17, 2015, 03:24:00 PM
It didn't seem like so in your last post <_<

Bump: Added post-based member groups at the end of the first post. They are nothing special for the time being but it describes what new privileges the user gets as he moves up from a rank to another.

Here is another trick I discovered about Youtube URLs: If you do not want the forum to automatically embed videos you post, just omit the www at the beginning:

Why is the www. thing even there? After all its just a subdomain
u/Dream of Omnimaga February 24, 2015, 07:34:05 AM
I'm unsure. That's how the mod is setup I guess, plus it seems common for people to use it with Youtube.
u/Yuki February 24, 2015, 01:09:00 PM
That happened to me the other time when I wanted to link to YouTube instead of embedding it, I just removed the www and a bunch of other stuff.

To be honest I would normally just use 1 Youtube mod with the Youtube tag but I felt it was sometimes convenient to be able to embed YT vids without having to type the Youtube tag, plus the other Youtube mod that requires it doesn't support HTTPS (there are alternatives but the last time I tried one it broke the site)

I got another fun thing. The site actually works on  WAP connections. I posted this on my nokia c3-01 :p
u/Dream of Omnimaga May 22, 2015, 06:44:58 PM
Yeah there's a WAP and WAP2 mode.
