Because of a severe bug with Topic Cloning mod rendering most sub-forum pages 2 until the second to last page pretty much impossible to sort through (the first and last page of each sub-forum are unnafected), I have now increased the amount of topics per page from 50 to 100 for the time being. We were aware of the issue a long time ago, but the bug effects seems to get worse with larger sub-forums.

If you notice too many slowdowns as a result of this or if the server crashes, then let me know and I'll switch to a different temporary solution (which would involve splitting each sub-forum so that they don't have more than 2 pages each) until the author of the mod figures out the solution and that we manage to install the update.

That sucks for mobile users :/

Yeah true, but it's just extra text for the most part so it should not be that much of a big deal. However, because a small 1st post preview shows up on mouseover for each topic I reduced the Nice tooltips to 200 characters instead of 500.
u/alexgt May 11, 2016, 01:06:26 AM
That should help alittle then
u/Dream of Omnimaga May 11, 2016, 01:08:29 AM
Indeed. My only issue is that if a topic post has an animated screenshot right in the first 200 characters, then the screenshot will most likely be loaded (unless it only loads on mouseover?). But I checked and it's not that common.

Couldn't you disable that somehow?
u/Dream of Omnimaga May 11, 2016, 01:13:34 AM
Nope, sadly, unless I just disable nice tooltips entirely for everyone. Eventually we will most likely just do our own forum templates anyway I think.

Yeah, a person at school thought I was on a different website since they saw another with the same theme xD
u/Dream of Omnimaga May 11, 2016, 03:58:59 AM
Wait, did another website re-use our theme verbatim? O.O I know KnexFlux uses a theme that is heavily inspired from ours but the colors are different.
u/alexgt May 11, 2016, 04:00:35 AM
IDK but she thought I was on the same website that she used to frequent but she didn't tell me the address.
u/Dream of Omnimaga May 11, 2016, 04:17:11 AM
Oh ok. Maybe she thought it was the same due to colors being similar.
u/alexgt May 11, 2016, 11:39:06 AM
It is possible, I do like the color palette that we have though.
u/Dream of Omnimaga May 17, 2016, 06:40:48 AM
Yeah I went with green since blue and green were my favorite colors, but blue was already in use by Omnimaga, which I also created. Ironically, the original Omnimaga logo, in use from September 2001 to August 2002, was also green.
u/alexgt May 17, 2016, 11:57:37 AM
That is cool, what does the Omni symbol represent?
u/Dream of Omnimaga May 17, 2016, 03:57:54 PM
Well, if you mean the name then it means Omni-magic (or magic everywhere or a magic that does everything)
