Mind if I split your project showcase into its own topic, in the projects section? ;)

Also you can apply via private message as well if you want. Of course keep in mind that it can take a while before you get accepted, though, since in your case you vanished for a very long time (and Elite coders are generally added when they average at 10 posts a month or so), but you could have some good chances if you stick around, especially considering you also do non-calc projects. :)

That game looks great, though! O.O

The site hasn't even been open a month! I don't care for an "Elite Coders" badge that's based off of posts  Come on, that's bogus!

No, not really. It's not based off posts, but on how good your projects are. In the eventuality you're elected Elite Coder, you're expected to be at least a little active on the forums, hence the 10 posts a month thing. (And you already did 10 posts this month, which is about 0.33 posts a day, which is not that much.) It is simply to prevent anyone who isn't active on the forums to be an Elite Coder and encourage them to keep being active and post their progress often.

What Juju said. 10 posts a month is nothing, we just don't want to give that badge to people who don't stick around. I think it's fair to ask for someone to be a little active in return for a position in the community. ;)

@AssemblyBandit I think you have misinterpreted my post up there.

I was saying that it might be best to wait a bit before promoting you because you have just come back from a one-year long hiatus from calc forums, hence why we planned to wait a few weeks or a month to see if you will stick around this time. Elite Coder badges are there to give notable programmers like you more visibility on the website and your projects, but if you end up posting only once a year then the badge won't be that useful. I'm not saying that you will disappear again but in the past 15 years I saw many people come back from long hiatuses, only to leave again a week later (FinaleTI, anyone?), hence why we wanted to see if you would remain around first. Besides, we are adding new Elite Coders in february anyway so it leaves a lot of time to post 10  (which you did now) and it isn't an hard-minimum.

Besides, I don't think it's a valid reason to try starting drama just for something like that, especially not with a ragequit (it's even against the rules).

Note that it's not a formal requirement, we just want to make sure you won't dissapear off the map after a while :) We, the CodeWalrus staff (including DJ), are sorry if this causes a misunderstanding. We don't want to cause any drama, nor want anyone to ragequit because of this. (Not that you threatened anything like this but yeah we just want to make sure.)

(I'm rather good at rewording DJ's posts better, that's pretty much what he meant, he don't want you to leave, be inactive nor be angry against him :P)
