Only problem: it's really only the first post that is so big, so a general warning might not be the right thing
I still think we should try to get an automated logging script running xD I fear I keep missing new ads all the time

A script could work actually, but who would run it? Also for mobile issues the best would be if it was possible to set the forums to turn images as URLs by default on mobile depending of the user's settings, with some quick-to-reach options.

yeah, an exact copy of the current mobile site but with all images greyed out, only loading them once you click on them... that might actually work ^.^

as for script hosting, I can't imagine this would take too many resources... I dont think it'd be a problem to host it on CodeW servers

Some browsers already load the image even if it is hidden.......i know for sure that desktop FX and chrome do that as i tested that stuff there, but I'm not sure about mobile browsers.
I bet opera mini has some dark magic to do it differently

I said opera mini, that is yet another browser which does some server-side proxying where the proxy alredy reduces the data sent to the phone
e.g. you send your screen res to the proxy and it filters out all the unneeded css definitions of responsive designs

Yeah spoilers are a no-go, and grayed-out images neither because you would sitll be loading the grayed-out copy in the process.

As for Opera Mini I didn't know it was still a thing. The last time I tried it on iOS it had terrible compatibility (even more than the default browser)
