Title: IRC/WalrusIRC partial downtime
Post by: Dream of Omnimaga on May 23, 2015, 06:39:08 AM
Some features on WalrusIRC, such as the post notifier bot and syncing of messages/joins/parts between Omninet and EFnet networks, are currently out of service, due to Omnimaga downtime. Chatting from EFnet and WalrusIRC shoutbox remains operational without the bots that were connected via the affected server. The missing chat features will return as soon as Omnimaga does or if the bot owners connect their respective bots to a different server.

Accessing #CodeWalrus via Omninet might still be possible via one of their unnaffected servers, but you will not be able to see any message coming from WalrusIRC and the EFnet-based #CodeWalrus channel, so we would like to advise you to switch to one of the latter two if you haven't done so already.

IRC shoutbox syncing failure has been common in the past on Omnimaga and CodeWalrus, but since WalrusIRC online list doesn't show network icons beside nicknames, it is harder to notice, so the newer CodeWalrus members who aren't used to this might not have noticed and might be wondering why, for example, the Walrified bot doesn't appear to be working when they post on the forums.
